The main function of the micropores is to allow water penetration and air circulation, adjust temperature and humidity, and at the same time have other functions of weeding mulch films. It also has the functions of moisture retention, root protection and weed control. It absorbs solar radiation to increase temperature during the day. When the water condensed on the film surface evaporates, the micropores open, allowing the exchange of gas and heat between the soil and the atmosphere, avoiding the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the rhizosphere due to mulching, which would otherwise inhibit root respiration.
